The Shakers are league leaders for the first time in 11 years after a 2-1 win at Barnet last week, which put them above Wycombe on goal difference.
"Our home form is most important to me as that's where most of our fans come to watch so we've got to put on a show and entertain them," Knill said.
"They were fantastic at Barnet last week and hopefully it continues. It's great to have a positive feel about Bury as for a long time its been negative.
"There's a lot of media here too now but they're coming for the right reasons.
"In the past they might come because the club's in financial trouble or the manager's been sacked - now it's because we're playing decent football and, most importantly, we're winning games."
