BURY continued their pre-season preparations with an unconvincing 1-0 friendly win at non-league Halifax.

The home side had the best of the chances, hitting the crossbar in the fifth minute before youngster Ricky Anane scored the game's only goal from a Phil Marsh cross in the 28th minute.

Shakers trialist Mike Jones hit the post with a powerful deflected shot, but the visitors needed two good saves from goalkeeper Cameron Belford towards the end of each half to secure victory over the newly-reformed Unibond League One outfit.

How do you think the Shakers are shaping up for the new season? Have your say.
