EFE Sodje has been offered a coaching role at Bury in addition to his new two-year deal at Gigg Lane.

The charismatic centre-back is feeling in good shape ahead of the new season but is anticipating a tough pre-season.

Sodje told the club's official website: "The hard work starts on Monday and I've just been telling Andy Bishop that they've been lazy so far so they will have to start running more.

"The gaffer has offered me a coaching role as well and I'm happy with that."
