BURY manager Chris Casper will be hoping for a smoother ride in the FA Cup this season after being drawn at home to Blue Square North side Workington.

The Shakers were thrown out of last season's competition after fielding an ineligible player in a second-round replay victory at Chester.

It was a decision that knocked the Shakers sideways, as they then went 16 games without a victory.

Casper said: "We'll treat Workington with the same kind of respect we'll treat anybody. We know it's going to be a tough game, and that they've got in to the first round on merit.

"We've got a home draw, and that's all you can ask for."
