Challinor watched a string of changes at Gigg Lane during the summer with plenty of players shown the exit door and new recruits welcomed.
But Challinor, one of the most experienced players still plying his trade in League football, is confident the Shakers have a great chance of success.
And he is relishing the start of the new season, which begins away to MK Dons on August 11.
"We're going into the game full of confidence and determined to get a good result," said Challinor.
"There will be a carnival atmosphere but our away form last season was brilliant and, if we can match that in the home games, we'll be a match for anyone this season."
