CHRIS Casper has all but picked the team for Bury's first league match of the season - even though it is nearly two weeks away.

Casper's side held Championship new boys Blackpool, to a 0-0 draw in Saturday's Gigg Lane friendly, with Shakers' keeper Jim Provett in fine form to deny Scott Vernon and David Fox, before Ben Burgess hit the bar for the visitors late on.

Provett should start when Bury kick off their League Two campaign at MK Dons on August 11, and the rest of the team sheet is taking shape, too.

"The starting 11 for Milton Keynes in near enough in my mind now," Casper said. "."
