BURY director of football Keith Alexander doesn't believe his new role will bring him into conflict with manager Chris Casper.

The former Lincoln and Peterborough boss was a surprise end-of-season appointment.

Alexander's prime task will be to find new players at an affordable price.

He said: "I'm looking forward to working with Chris.

"If you look at three of the teams that got into the play-offs, they had directors of football."
