JASON Kennedy would love to return to Bury if things don't work out for him at Middlesbrough.

The 20-year-old loan midfielder goes back to the Riverside after Bury complete their League Two season at home to Mansfield on Saturday.

"I've been at Bury for two months now and securing safety on Saturday means a lot to me," said Kennedy.

"I've got a year left at Middlesbrough and if at the start of next season I am not getting the chance, I think I will be sent out on loan hoping to get some more experience.

"If Bury rang Middlesbrough next season asking for me to come back on loan, I wouldn't think twice about it. I've enjoyed it here and I've enjoyed the experience."
