THE goal drought may go on at Eastlands for Manchester City but Bury managed to end their own goal drought at Gigg Lane – thanks to Tom Youngs.

The striker scored the Shakers first home goal in in 335 minutes to earn a draw against Mansfield Town.

The Stags had gome ahead after defender Alex Baptiste nodded in Nathan Arnold’s free-kick midway through the first half.

The Nottinghamshire team could have double their lead too, if a strong shout for a penalty when Darren Kempson fouled Stephen Dawson had not been turned down.

Youngs came to the rescue on 50 minutes though and Bury were denied a winner by goalkeeper Carl Muggleton who saved from Jason Kennedy and Glynn Hurst.
