Tcham N'Toya's 40th-minute winner for County stretched the Shakers' run without a League Two victory to 16 matches.
Defeat means that Casper's men are now just three games away from equalling the club record of 19 league matches without a win, set by Archie Montgomery's side of 1911.
But far more importantly, Bury now sit just one point above the drop zone after wins for Accrington and Wrexham at the weekend - with a vital clash against relegation rivals Boston this Saturday.
"I'm hurting," Casper said. "There's only so much I can do. I will take responsibility. It's my team that I pick. But the players who are picked have got to stand forward now and show their true character. They're playing for their careers now. We're all doing that. They're playing for their mortgages and the clothes on their back, and their future contracts." Tweet

dont forget that the players will by now already have decided what they plan to do next year, even though the majority are clearly not good enough for League football, most will not be big enough to handle the drop to the Conference and move elsewhere. Then of course there will be the garage sale and I reckon Tom Kennedy (who can go now if his performance on Saturday is all he has to offer), Fitzgerald (why isnt he playing?), Scott, Bishop, Hurst, Baker and Pugh will go for peanuts. It's the supporters who will have to grin and bear it, we cannot realistically up stumps and move.
Bring back 'the messiah' Stan Ternent quick !!!
