If their application to the Football League for an extra allocation is turned down later today there could be protests by season ticket holders before the home game against Manchester City on Saturday.
Also waiting anxiously are supporters who made postal applications well in advance of last Saturday's ticket sale at the ground, when the 30,000 allocation was swallowed up in eight hours.
The reserves lost 1-0 to Sunderland last night, Tommy Smith scoring in the first half of the game at Durham.

Every season ticket holder should have a ticket! How have they sold 30,000 tickets when only around 15,000 Bolton fans were at the game against Villa?? Surely you ensure your season ticket holders get a ticket.
Protest posters are being handed out before the game at various points around the stadium. Please hold them up before the match to show your disgust at the way season ticket holders have been treated. 4000 without tickets is wrong.
stop moaning you bunch of halfwitts. maybe its becasue bugger all fans turned up to any of the runup games-now everyone wants a piece of the glory!
