SAM Allardyce is wondering if the real Mark Viduka will stand up when Wanderers play at Leeds tomorrow.
Despite the personal problems the Aussie star had with Allardyce's close friend Peter Reid, the Bolton boss would have him in his side like a shot.
He said: "Viduka is one of the top six strikers in the Premiership when he's on form and we would be well up the table if we had someone like him."
Leeds will be without Alan Smith, who has a suspension.
"The defensive frailties are the area we look at the most and try to expose them without giving their front line any chances. We've got to take advantage of their position at the bottom like other clubs have done this season."
Allardyce has invoked the old pals act with Reid by picking his brains about the squad.
He said: "Of course I've spoken to him. He wouldn't be a mate if he didn't volunteer some advice.
"I've asked him the questions but what he said is between us."
Youri Djorkaeff is fit after a six-week absence with a calf injury, but defender Emerson Thome's hamstring problem will keep him on the sidelines.
