As a player, Barnes always offered great flair and unpredictability in attack and it's those same qualities that he feels will keep Bolton safe from the dreaded drop to Division One.
Barnes, who will be at the Reebok managing an African Select XI against Sam Allardyce's World side in the Kanu Heart Foundation charity match, said: 'I think Bolton are more equipped than any other team down at the bottom to stay up because they always have a chance of creating chances and scoring goals.
Threat in attack
'When you have the attacking prowess of players such as Jay-Jay Okocha and Youri Djorkaeff, then you always have that goalscoring threat.
'As Sam Allardyce would say, as long as you have the possibility of scoring goals, then you always have the chance of winning matches.
'Bolton always have that possibility of scoring goals and if they can get it right at the back, then I am confident they will survive.'
Are Djorkaeff and Okocha the key men in Bolton's battle to beat the drop? Have your say.
