AMBITIOUS Bolton aim to increase the supply of home grown talent after announcing plans for a new Academy set-up.
Wanderers have become known as a League of Nations club thanks to manager Sam Allardyces propensity to invest in the overseas market.
However, the Trotters have successfully brought players through the ranks including skipper Kevin Nolan and defender Nicky Hunt.
And the current headquarters at Euxton is also home to youngsters such as Portugal's Ricardo Vaz Te, Poland's Jaroslaw Fojut and American born Johann Smith.
But in announcing a pre tax profit of é300,000 for Burden Leisure PLC - Bolton's parent company - chief executive Allan Duckworth confirmed the development of a new Academy.
"During the past year we've secured tenure of a 40 acre site less than a mile from the Reebok Stadium where we plan to develop a new Academy for the football club," he said.
Project
"This project fully reflects our long term commitment to youth development as a key element in strategy for the football club. Our top priority is to develop Bolton into an established and successful Premiership club.
"But it is important to develop our commercial and other business activities as well in order to provide the means to achieve our footballing objectives."
The balance sheet showed group and football turnover had increased by three per cent to é54.8 million and é45.9 million respectively.
However, there had also been a 12 per cent increase in improvements to the playing squad from é33.5 million to é37.6 million.
Meanwhile Bolton's assistant boss Sammy Lee won't be pressing for more international engagements despite Tuesday night's success with the England Under 21 team.
Lee took charge in the one-match absence of Peter Taylor and guided England to a 1-0 win over Holland.
But Little Sam confirmed: "I am perfectly happy at Bolton, I've pledged my future to the club.
"I was stepping in at Peter's request and the FA came along and asked me to fulfil that request. It was a great privilege to do that."

Great to hear we are investing in the future, it will always be a struggle to attract young players to Bolton when their are big and so-called big clubs on our doorstep. Hopefully this move will help cement our dominant position over the likes of lesser clubs like City, Blackburn and Wigan who lay claim to a certain kudos without anything significant enough to substantiate thair claim
This is the best Wanderers' news I've heard this month. On average Reebok gates of 25k, paying 8m for any player is lunacy! - no matter how much we get from TV. I would also like to see more effort put into investing in players from the Championship, Division 1 and Division 2. Obviously, these Academy plans have been formulated for some time, but the contemporary failure of the Anelka transfer must have accelerated the decision-making process.
Nick-are you one of the 17,000 then? When Sam finally tires of the Anelkas of this world and realises thet he's taken you bumpkins as far as he can,you will dissapear back to div2 faster than a summer snowflake..
Errr,Nick....check your history,mate....Manchester City...the ONLY team to win a European trophy with an all-ENGLISH side...don't remember the 17,000 massive ever doing that????Do you want to carry on?Kudos?Isn't that an aftershave in Bolton?
