Diouf has sights on Spanish big guns - in time

BOLTON striker El Hadji Diouf claims he is using Wanderers as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

The controversial Senegalese striker has become a firm favourite at the Reebok Stadium since his move from Liverpool. But the 25-year-old is apparently dreaming of taking his talents overseas.

Diouf said: "I think all the time about playing for big clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona. I tell myself that it will happen one day. At present I am with Bolton and devoting all my energies to them. But if I have a good season I will get my reward in the future."

Meanwhile, Gary Speed could be poised for a shock return to international football.

The 37-year-old midfielder has been in outstanding form for Bolton this season, and he's hinted at reversing his decision to quit the international scene to help the Welsh out of their current crisis.

Wanderers have again been linked with French midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo, out of favour at Paris St Germain. He could to Bolton in the January transfer window.

Do you think Diouf could play for Real Madrid or Barca? Have your say.

What? How many goals does this man score ? , not including penaltys . Diouf is not a bad player but not world class , silly statements to the press wil not help his cause .

Barca never, but Real Madrid have bought some medicore players from England over the last few seasons (Woodgate, Graveson, Beckham, Owen). To be honest the only "big" thing about Madrid at the moment is their wage bill...or their ego.

A typical measured (blinkered manc) response there from will????
Dioufy has the talent to go anywhere he wants to go, it's all down to him really? if he can stick to the good things in football and cut out the dramatics, and carry on doing the business for Bolton he may get his reward of a big european club one day!
