JARED Borgetti's World Cup ended in disappointment after Argentina's dramatic victory over Mexico.

Mexico took a surprise lead through Rafael Marquez, but Argentina levelled when Borgetti and Hernan Crespo challenged for a ball that ended up in Mexico's net.

It took an extra-time wonder goal from Maxi Rodriguez to decide the game. Bolton's other World Cup players, Hidetoshi Nakata of Japan and Tunisia's Radhi Jaidi, fell at the group stages.
