Wanderers finished leg-weary after playing their second game in two days following a 2-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday.
A goal in each half ended Bolton's unbeaten pre-season record while Kevin Poole, deputising for Jussi Jaaskelainen, saved a penalty.
Some of the players will be on duty again tomorrow when Wanderers travel to Bradford City. Gary Speed is expected to make his first appearance since completing his move from Newcastle.
Last night's game wasn't without its plus points and manager Sam Allardyce was able to run the rule over his trialists, including Brazilians Julio Cesar and Emerson, plus former Aston Villa star Hassan Kachloul.
The club will be represented at next month's Olympic Games because Euro 2004 winner Stelios has been nominated as a flag bearer at the opening ceremony.
Wanderers also feared the former Olympiakos favourite might be called up as one of the over-age players for Greece's Olympic squad.
But Bolton say they've been assured Stelios will be available for the start of their pre-season campaign on August 14. The same applies to Radhi Jaidi, who could have been called up into the Tunisian Olympic squad.
However, Ricardo Gardner may miss the opener against Charlton as Jamaica have a World Cup qualifier against America on August 18 and the midfielder could be called to attend a training camp the previous week. Tweet
