DAVID Unsworth's expected move to Bolton has broken down over the financial package on offer.
The experienced central defender is out of contract at the end of the month after refusing a new deal at Everton.
A Bolton spokesperson said: "We have failed to agree personal terms with the player."
The 30-year-old has made more than 250 league appearances for Everton in two spells, but he is set to move on this summer. Bolton could go back in for the Chroley-born player, but they are unlikely to significantly raise their offer and Unsworth could find himself left in limbo with only a handful of Premiership clubs being in the hunt for experienced defenders.
