Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers 0 Fulham 2

A GOAL in each half by American striker Brian McBride ended Bolton's season on a low note at the Reebok.

He scored after 44 and 79 minutes in a result which was a complete travesty on the possession and dominance that Bolton enjoyed.

But striker Kevin Davies, a talisman for much of the season, had one of those games where nothing went right for him near goal and he missed three good chances.

In addition, Bolton skipper Jay Jay Okocha, seeking his first Premiership goal of the season, hit the Fulham bar after 23 minutes.

McBridge's first goal came with a header from a cross by Luis Boa Morte and the second with a shot from a centre by Steed Malbranque.

Everton had their chance at McBride and did not take it. We are talking a quality
striker in the mould of an old fashioned English big center forward with great touches from his head and chest to team mates and the odd
clinical finish. Who
in the lower half of the table would not want a consistant scorer like this pro?
