Bolton Wanderers

Fulham 2 Bolton 1

John Pantsil and Gavin McCann
KEVIN Davies’s late goal couldn’t prevent Bolton from slipping to their second Premier League defeat in three outings.

And after an opening day victory over top flight new boys Stoke City, Wanderers’ promising season start is quickly unravelling.

Former West Ham striker Bobby Zamora gave Roy Hodgson’s team a 15th minute lead.

And four minutes before the break one time Bolton target Zolten Gera doubled the Londoners’ advantage.

Davies struck eight minutes from time-his second on the campaign-but Bolton’s hoodoo at the Cottage struck again.

They’ve now failed to register a league victory on Fulham territory in eight visits.

Bolton:

Jaaskelainen 6, Steinsson 6, O’Brien 6, Shittu 6, Samuel 6, Gardner 5, Muamba 6, Nolan 6, McCann 5, J O’Brien 6, Davies 7

Subs: Riga 6 (for McCann 51, Helguson 5 (for Steinsson 62); not used Al Habsi, Hunt, Vaz Te, Cohen, Fojut.
