BOLTON Wanderers have completed the signing of defender Danny Shittu from Watford in a £2million deal.

The former Blackpool player underwent a medical last night and has signed a three-year contract.

Wanderers have fought off competition to land Shittu who had been linked with a number of clubs in the Championship.

Meanwhile, Johan Elmander will miss Bolton's final pre-season game against AEK Athens after flying home from their Greek training camp.

The Swedish international was due to feature in the 1-1 draw against Aris Salonika on Monday night.

But his wife went into labour and Elmander received permission to cut short his stay.

Are we to live through this puerile toilet humour all season?

Answer: Yes.

You never know, he might turn out to be 'good Shittu.'
