In an open letter to the fans, Reebok favourite Campo criticises the Wanderers' boss and his chairman for their treatment of him.
The former Real Madrid star wasn't offered new terms at the end of the season and is currently looking for a new club.
Last month, MEN Sport reported how Campo and Stelios hadn't been given an opportunity to say their goodbyes to supporters.
The 34-year-old played nearly 200 times for Wanderers since moving from Spain in 2002.
And now Campo said on a Spanish website: "I'm writing you this open letter because I never had the chance to say farewell to you all following my last match at the Reebok.
"I really want to say thank you for all the great years that you `ve given me: and believe me, I feel you gave them to me, rather than I to you.

"I have no desire to harm the image of the club in any way.
"However, it is a bit sad that I had to find out from the coach, in a two-minute phone call, four days after the final game of the season, that he no longer wanted me.
"I fully understand the coach wants to play a different style of football and that there is no room for a player like me.
"That's fine, but I would have liked to have been given the chance to say goodbye to you.
"One of the saddest things to have happened to me in my unforgettable time at Bolton, and that is the fact nobody from the club has been in contact with me to wish me good luck in my new adventure.
"At the least I expected a phone call from the chairman. I'm very upset it has ended this way. We didn't celebrate with the fans, there was no special dinner like there always is every year, and I would have loved that."
However, Campo does stress his gratitude to former manager Sam Allardyce for bringing him to the Premier League.
"He came and found me in Madrid - he had faith in me and taught me how to be a better, more mature player," he said.

A true servant of the club like Campo leaves and you don't even say goodbye. These are dark days at the bok.

The sooner Gartside and Megson are removed the better.
