Bolton Wanderers

Bolton v City: Player ratings

HABASI - made a meal of a couple of stops but nevertheless can be pleased with his contribution 6

CAHILL- another rock for Wanderers whose problems are not at the back but other end  6

GARDNER - was one of the home side's more accomplished performers before rib injury 6

DAVIES - always a handful whether he drifts out wide or tries to power way through middle 7

STEINSSON - hit the bar with an excellent first half header and generally sound throughout 7

CAMPO - showed some classy touches in the first half before running out of steam after break 5

GUTHRIE - busy as everyone else in midfield but his distribution might have been better 5

NOLAN - bad back relented enough to enable him to play and he enjoyed the challenge 6

DIOUF - never looked like scoring but enough clever movement to keep defenders honest 6

A. O'BRIEN - like his Blues counterparts was dominant for most of game in which defenders shone 6

TAYLOR- never really got to grips with the contest and didn't hurt City enough going forward 4

SUBS:

J. O'BRIEN (for Gardner 46) - great goal line block

McCANN (for Campo 63) - added some more steel

STELIOS (for Taylor 83) - too late to mark

Not used: Walker and Rasiak.
