Bolton Wanderers

Preview: Bolton v Everton

NICOLAS Anelka will bid to mark the signing of his new improved Bolton contract by continuing his impressive start to the season against Everton at the Reebok Stadium.

The Frenchman could be joined in attack by Kevin Davies, who returned to the bench last week after suffering a hamstring injury in the opening day defeat to Newcastle.

Andy O'Brien will also be considered but Ricardo Gardner (hamstring) and Joey O'Brien (knee) are still out, while Abdoulaye Faye was expected to complete his move to Newcastle.

Record signing Ayegbeni Yakubu is expected to make his Everton debut although manager David Moyes is unsure whether the Nigerian will start the match.

Loan signing Thomas Gravesen should also be in the squad, which is still without long-term injured pair Tim Cahill and James Vaughan.

There are doubts over Alan Stubbs and Lee Carsley, who have muscle injuries, which could mean that Phil Jagielka makes his full debut for the club.
