Indeed, the Wanderers favourite is determined the fans will see more of him this season as he looks to improve his disciplinary record.
West Ham, Everton, City and Newcastle have all been mentioned as possible buyers for the long-serving Liverpool-born star. But Nolan insists: "People keep asking me about my future. But I've not heard one little bit of speculation to be honest."
On one occasion, Nolan was supposed to be at Everton's training ground meeting David Moyes.
In reality, he was halfway round the world playing in the Peace Cup.
"The rumours always come from someone else," Nolan said. "Until the club say they have accepted an offer or they want me to leave, then I want to be at this football club.
"I don't want to go anywhere. I'm happy here, I'm settled; so there is no reason for me to leave. We are in Europe, and it's a fantastic time for Bolton Wanderers."
And Nolan is determined not to look back, even though the Sam Allardyce era is still fresh in the memory.
Fixture
"The seven years with Sam Allardyce were fantastic," Nolan added. "I would thank him for everything he did for me and this club. But it's all about the players now. Certainly Sam got us in this position but the players were the ones that did it on the pitch."
Allardyce will return to the Reebok Stadium on the opening day with his new club Newcastle, and Nolan cannot wait.
But the Bolton midfielder is taking a view beyond the opening fixture, and believes Wanderers can push into the top six.
He said: "It's a fantastic opening game with Sam and Newcastle coming here. But we are not going to win the league in just that game. We've got to make sure over 38 games we are in the top eight and hopefully break into the top six."
Nolan was sent off at Blackburn last season and collected 10 other yellow cards.
"I missed six games through suspension and that was a big blow to me," acknowledged the 25-year-old midfielder.
"I also suffered broken ribs and then a dislocated finger. As long as I can stay injury and suspension free, I will have a good year."
Meanwhile, Iranian midfielder Andranik has been told to take a football-free break by boss Sammy Lee.
Andranik arrived back for training after his recent exploits in the Asia Cup.
But he won't feature in tomorrow's friendly at Colchester after assurances from Lee that his absent won't jeopardise his chances of staking a first-team place.
Meanwhile, Bolton have also completed the signing of Daniel Braaten from Rosenborg for an undisclosed fee. Tweet
