ENGLAND'S cricket bosses were hoping from a clear lead from the Government today as they weighed up their options over the feasibility of touring Zimbabwe.

The England and Wales Cricket Board have long been committed to a reciprocal arrangement to tour Zimbabwe following that country's trip to England last summer, even though Nasser Hussain's team boycotted their World Cup tie in Harare almost 12 months ago.

They have received a letter of advice from the Foregn Office and will study that before making their decision.
