Lancashire's Paul Horton and Ben Moore became the first openers to each score a century as Sefton Park crushed Leigh by 79 runs in the Liverpool Competition ECB Premier League

Horton scored 123 and Moore 119 not out in a partnership of 240 in Park's 274-1.

One of the previous holders of the record was Wigan skipper Sean Casham. He scored 60 in an opening stand of 124 with Matt Taylor, who went on to 102, as Wigan figured in an amazing game in division one at neighbours Orrell RT.
