ALDERLEY Edge will be hoping former Lancashire ace Mark Currie comes good against third-placed Neston, when the leaders entertain the Wirral outfit at Moss Lane.

The former Poynton right-hander is also due to play for Cheshire in their opening match in the Minor Counties Championship Western Division, against Herefordshire at Luctonians Cricket Club between June 5-7.

Defending champions Bowdon, who are second after a five-wickets win at Oxton, face a tough test at home to in-form Widnes.

Hyde, who have seen promising youngster James Duffy in fine form, entertain Chester Boughton Hall, while newly-promoted Christleton face Poynton.
