Widnes posted an imposing 205 against Neston, who paraded Lancashire's Andy Crook, and skittled their opponents for 121.
Teenage ace James McCoy led the way with a gallant 56, although Dave Collyer returned impressive figures of 4-49 for the home side while Crook weighed in with 3-91.
But a 4-14 return from Andy Kirby and three wickets for Steve Titchard saw Neston crumble.
Mark Currie top-scored with 38 as Alderley Edge drew with Chester Boughton Hall.
Edge declared at 156-9 but Chester fell short on 127-6.
Newly-promoted Christleton clung on to snatch a draw against Hyde, who had posted 183, with John Astley scoring 42.
Gill Jacobs held the Christleton innings together with an unbeaten 34 as they finished on 127-7.
