ATHERTON can say they have been leaders of the ANTHONY AXFORD BOLTON ASSOCIATION - even if only for one match.

They picked up a maximum 13 points from their opening day defeat of Little Hulton under the Association's new scoring system. Tomorrow, they go to Lostock and on Sunday entertain Astley and Tyldesley.
