Amir Khan has withdrawn from the Amateur Boxing Association championships because of a row over ticket allocation for his supporters.
However, Khan's representatives insist he will remain an amateur for the forseeable future despite constant rumours suggesting he will turn professional.
The Olympic silver medallist had been set to face James Martin in the quarter-finals of the tournament in Yarmouth on Saturday but his manager Asif Valie today gave ABA performance director Paul King verbal notification that Khan is withdrawing.
