WESTHOUGHTON, the Warburtons Bolton League leaders, can pile the pressure on defending champions Walkden by hitting double top this weekend.
They go into the last six matches of the season with a six-point lead, which they can extend with fixtures against two of the bottom three clubs.
Westhoughton, fired by a magnificent season from their West Indian pro Antonio Mayers, go to Astley Bridge tomorrow and are at home to Bradshaw on Sunday.
Walkden face a tougher job at Egerton, where opener Gary Garner is in stunning form, before an easier home test against out-of-form Kearsley on Sunday.
Third-placed Greenmount are hanging in on the title race 14 points behind Walkden but have a tough trip to Eagley, who are fourth, tomorrow.
