Local cricket: Manchester Association

HAVING reached the magical 100 point mark last weekend, Monton & Weaste will bid to take a step nearer to the Manchester Association title with victory over Swinton Moorside at the Deansway tomorrow.

Monton's form this season has been nothing short of remarkable and only bad weather has stopped them registering 13 straight victories but captain Jason Maddox will be stressing to his players that they cannot take their foot off the pedal.

Swinton Moorside were thought to be dark horses in terms of the a Championship challenge at the beginning of the year and while that hasn't materialised, they still remain a dangerous side who are capable of beating any side on their day.

At the bottom of the table, basement club Westleigh - who have taken just 11 points from 13 matches - face Winton knowing that a first victory of the season will give them a slime chance of beating the drop.

Tomorrow - Prem Div: Hindley St Peter's v SW Manchester, Swinton Moorside v Monton & Weaste, Stretford v Bolton, Winton v Westleigh, Bury v Bolton Indians.

Div 1: Flixton v Bickershaw, Deane & Derby v Euxton, Rylands v Brooksbottom, Whalley Range v Wythenshawe, Newton Heath v Sale Moor.x
