PRESTWICH moved eight points clear at the top of the Lancashire County League table with wins over Roe Green and Thornham.

Professional Craig Duxbury smashed a superb 113 as Prestwich rattled up 208-6, before bowling Green out for 152 on Saturday.

Chris Humphreys took taking 7-37 yesterday as Thornham crashed to 83 all out, Prestwich scoring 84-4 in reply.

Denton West's woes worsened with defeats against Woodbank and Irlam, West losing out by 113 runs and five wickets %respectively.

Damian Eyre took 5-64 against Thornham on Saturday as Glossop marched to a four-wicket win, and followed that up with 7-78 against Woodhouses in an eight-wicket victory.
