LANCASHIRE will begin their County Championship campaign with a home clash against Warwickshire next season.
Peter Moores’ men then face a trip to Essex before hosting Kent after the 2010 domestic fixtures were announced today.
The Roses matches book-end the new Friends Provident t20, which is being played throughout June and July, with the first at Headingley starting on May 29 and the return at Old Trafford beginning on June 28.
And Lancs face a tough finish to the Championship season, as their last four games see them travel to Nottinghamshire and Somerset as well as hosting Hampshire at an outground – most likely to be Liverpool - before ending against this year's runners-up Nottinghamshire at Old Trafford.
Lightning’s opening one-day game is at The Oval where they take on Surrey Lions in the new Clydesdale Bank 40 League on April 25, with their first home match in the competition against Glamorgan on May 2.
They face a trip to Durham for the first of their Friends Provident T20 group matches on June 4, while the Old Trafford Twenty20 Roses match is scheduled for a Friday night on July 9 and is set to be a sell out.
There is an early start to Lancashire’s first-class season as they travel to Durham University for a three-day game beginning on April 3 before the Championship gets underway on April 15.
