The 36 year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, but is the club's leading run-scorer in Championship cricket with 970 runs to his name.
His brilliant 151 not out was the cornerstone of the Red Rose side's crucial eight-point draw against Somerset at Taunton on Saturday, sharing an unbroken third-wicket partnership of 247 with VVS Laxman to help recover from 67-2.
Laxman, the Indian Test ace, hit an unbeaten 113 as Lancashire closed on 314-2.
Lancashire, who have a 22-point cushion over Sussex, 18 points on Yorkshire and six on Hampshire, are all but safe with one game still to play even though all those three sides have two left.
Loye and Laxman batted right the way through a shortened day four. "It was seriously important that we got a draw out of the game," said Loye, whose 312-ball knock was his highest Championship score for a little over four years.
When asked about his future, he said: "It will come out next week.
"It is just one of those things that, in my own mind, I didn't want to unsettle me with some important games coming up. Next week, with a gap, we can sort things out."
Loye recently indicated his desire to continue playing county cricket for another three years and he is believed to be attracting interest from his former county Northamptonshire.
Red Rose coach Peter Moores said: "He is starting to look every bit the quality player he has been for Lancashire over the years."
Loye, however, took a blow to a finger on Saturday and is a doubt for tonight's Pro40 League Division Two match against Glamorgan at Cardiff.
KEVIN Pietersen remains hopeful of making England's tour of South Africa in November despite admitting his recovery from surgery on his Achilles tendon has been slow.
"I saw a couple of surgeons during the week but it's slow at the moment. I've got an open wound in my leg," he said.
Pietersen, 29, missed the last three Tests of the Ashes series and has played no part in the one-day matches against Australia in which England trail 4-0 with three to play.
FORMER Lancashire star and MEN columnist David Lloyd hit the winning runs to help Accrington win the Lancashire League title. Playing alongside his son, Graham, he hit a six and a single to snatch victory on the final day of the season from rivals Haslingden.
BOOTLE lifted the Barclays Wealth Lancashire Cup for the fifth time in six years with an eight-wicket win over Egerton at St Anne's. Dave Snellgrove hit an unbeaten 75.

I was sat square to the wicket on Friday when he tried to take a low catch on the boundary in front of me and he hurt his finger then. No physio came on and he continued to field without leaving the pitch. He batted in the last session and for the whole of Saturday without a problem.
Is a 'blow to the finger' the real reason for Loye being 'doubtful' for tonight's game or are Lancashire fans going to be robbed of the opportunity to see a class batsman in great form for the sake of Old Trafford internal politics and egos?

I hope that Lancs don't tell us just before the start of the next game that Mal has had a relapse, caught swine flu or been accidently run over by the team bus.
