With Chris Hoy absent through flu, the 19-year-old stepped into the spotlight at the latest Revolution meeting with a succession of thrilling victories at Manchester's National Cycling Centre.
Kenny opened the night with victory in the Omnium 200 metres time trials - his time of 10.178 seconds was a personal best and left five-time world champion Theo Bos trailing in his slipstream.
And it was another Kenny-Bos one-two in the Omnium Sprint.
"Training has been going really well in the last couple of weeks but I didn't expect that," grinned the three-time world junior champion.
"I thought maybe if I got near my top form I could knock a little bit off the PB. "But to do 10.178 is awesome because it's a tenth of a second quicker than I've gone before."
Kenny now has his sights set on next month's World Cup meeting in Copenhagen. If he can impress the selectors in Denmark and re-produce his Revolution form, he could clinch a ride at Manchester's World Championships in March.
The final Revolution meeting of series five takes place on February 23.
And after Saturday's sell-out, organisers urge fans to book early.
