RICKY Hatton has won round one of his summer super-fight with Jose Luis Castillo - when the Mexican tough-nut refused to get involved in one of the Hitman's legendary nights on the town!
Hatton extended the hand of friendship to Castillo at the weekend when the former world lightweight champ came to Manchester to begin the countdown to their Las Vegas showdown on June 23.
The pair met in a city centre restaurant and, after a cordial chat, Hatton invited his next opponent out with the lads.
"He took one look at me and had a face that said `Not flippin' likely!'" said Hatton, who aims to ensure his place in the boxing Hall of Fame by beating Castillo in front of an expected 17,000 sell-out Thomas and Mack Center crowd.
"Five hours later he was tucked up in bed while I was on the karaoke," said Hatton, who is unrepentant about his lifestyle when he is out of the gym, and says he will continue to live it up until he starts training in earnest.
What are Ricky's chances against Castillo? Have your say.

Yeah couple of beers before the fight, maybe even a kebab got loads of chance. He's fighting like a 35 year old now. Wait untill June, he ll have the body of a 40 year old. Keep doing what your doing, end up with no stamina in the ring Ricky wake up.
Castillo will beat Ricky. And Ricky has a built in excuse of his partying lifestyle as why he will lose. But it won't be because of beer. It will be because Castillo is a better boxer. Ricky is a pure brawler and his brawling style may play well at the MEN arena, but not in the states. The ref will call for breaks when the fighters get tied up, Ricky's very very short arms will become apparent when Castillo's jab start softening up Ricky's face. Live it up while you can Hitman, your career will be over shortly. Cue "My Way . . ." on the karoke machine.
Suart Bennen?? Is that your new alias Stuart??? I wouldn't want to be you either.
