Nas backs Khan after Thorpe win

AMIR Khan earned the praise of the man whose proud record he intends to snatch after his fourth professional win at London's ExCel on Saturday night.

The 19-year-old Olympic silver medallist claimed arguably his most impressive victory to date when he stopped rugged Sheffield journeyman Daniel Thorpe three seconds from the end of round two.

Afterwards he was hailed by Naseem Hamed, who sat at ringside supporting the man who plans to usurp him as Britain's youngest ever world champion.

Hamed said: "I thought Amir was absolutely brilliant, I knew Thorpe would come in and try to rough him up and fight back but Amir dealt with it well."my time with my family - but the Prince will be coming back."

best of luck amir ,by all accounts you fought well,i just hope that frank will up the class of the opposition soon ,and also stay away from religeon in boxing ,we don,t need another naz ,cos it certainly did,nt help him when he got hammered by berrara did it ,just train hard ,listen to frank ,keep your feet firmly on the ground ,and the worlds your oyster, and above all treat your opponents with respect,and don,t get into slanging match,es, which seems to be the norm these days ,i can well remember watching a biography of the great sugar ray robinson ,called "pound for pound "i suggest you watch it ,in my view and many others he was the best ,but he never had a bad word for his opponents .
