Double Olympic champion Kindelan fights Birmingham teenager Frankie Gavin in Liverpool as part of a match between his Cuba squad and a Four Nations line-up.
Kindelan's team have scuppered claims by promoter Frank Warren that he would fight Khan in a rematch of their Olympic final in Bolton on April 30.
But Kindelan said: "If my federation can arrange it I would like to fight Amir Khan again because he is a great boxer.
"If he decided to fight on as an amateur I am sure he would get a lot of success, but he will also make a great champion if he turns professional."
Kindelan is nearing the end of a glittering amateur career and sees a potential fight with Khan as a prime opportunity to bow out on a big stage.
He will then move into coaching to give the benefit of his huge experience to the next generation of Cuban fighters, the best of whom will figure in a youthful Cuban line-up at the Olympia venue tonight. Tweet
