AMIR Khan will return to the ring next month when he makes his senior Amateur Boxing Association Championships debut.

The Olympic silver medallist will take on Salford's Liam Dorian in the Manchester area's divisionals at Preston Guild Hall on February 7.

Khan, just turned 18, was last year deemed too young to compete in the tournament despite going on to reach the podium in Athens.

He will continue to compete at lightweight hoping to join former ABA champions at that weight including Dick McTaggart, Jim Watt and Jim McDonnell. Tweet
