The Droylsden lad catapulted himself into the limelight by winning Prizefighter on Friday and now he's got to take it onto the next level.
Just look what the same tournament did for Audley Harrison. He was washed up before winning the heavyweight version and now he's challenging for the European title.
Prizefighter has become the FA Cup of boxing. It's set up for giant-killings and that's exactly what Prince Arron did.
Few would have given him a chance of overcoming a quality field, so after beating George Hillyard, Bradley Pryce and Brett Flournoy it could be the start of something big for him.
But he has to transfer that success to the big stage.
It is one thing winning three, three-round contests, but it is completely different making the step up to 10 and 12 rounders.
That's why you see so many Olympians struggling to make the grade in the pro ranks - it is a completely different proposition.
If I was in Prince Arron's camp, I'd be studying old tapes of Tommy Hearns.
He has a similar lanky build and he would do well to see how the Hitman held himself in the ring.
Tough
The great thing for Prince Arron is that he has put himself in a position where people are talking about him.
A few weeks ago he wouldn't have been on the radar, now promoters will be queuing up to put their fighters up against him. Everyone will want to have a shot at the Prizefighter winner.
Having seen him as a 16-year-old I'm delighted to see him enjoy some success.
He turned pro very early and wasn't done any favours with his match-making.
He was put in with Anthony Small in 2006 - being knocked out in the second round - but he has stuck at it, knuckled down and got his reward.
You see so many young fighters with padded records and then when they step into the ring with a proper fighter, they don't know how to handle it. You certainly couldn't accuse Prince Arron of being sheltered.
He's had some tough, tough opponents and was thrown in at the deep end at a very early age.
If he ever had any doubts about whether this was the right career for him, those questions were answered on Friday.
I, like most of British boxing, will be watching with interest to see where he goes from here.

Got to admire this guy for his methodical, structured and strategic approach. It really annoys me and makes me laugh when I hear idiots saying he never fought at such a level etc, etc...so what! I know coaches whoo have fought but all they can do is coach combinations. I knowc who I'd rather have on my side: Joe every time, he studies the game and does his homework and then approaches it scientifically. I hate to say this cos Im a blue, but he reminds me of the fergie of boxiong.
Good on you Joe and the boys in your camp.

I often wonder how much these young fighters learn fighting the same old journeymen who have property lost 19 out of their last 20 fights. I saw a fighter on Eurosport last night who won his first 19 fights all by 1st round knock out. But as soon as he faced a half decent opponent he fell apart in 3 rounds.

Even if they (M.E.N) do release a piece in this section later today or tomorrow, it is still lacking in support for our local lads. You have got to support the rest off the lads not just Ricky and Amir
They need publicity and they need support - Come on, pull your finger out M.E.N

The MEN can be forgiven for not have a Fury story because he only confirmed that he was on the bill late this week. But Morris replaced Ricky Burns over two weeks ago and there really should have been a bit of hype and a MEN article. Dissapointing!
p.s. HOS, this isnt Gallaghers article!

However, I would put money on that being Joes piece, not just because of his picture being attached to the piece but because that has Joes signature all over it in the way he talks about the game. OK it got James Robsons name to it, but those aren't his words.
You've not been on here for a while, don';t kick off again hey? Can't we just respect each others opinions and debate instead of ;point scoring over silly unimportant issues?

I think he is in a good camp now with Bryan and Pat, however he clearly ain't doing any groundwork circuits as he has no shape in his physique (This is evident)
All you need to do is look at the lads who train seriously in the gym and you can see that they are putting in the groundwork!!! Tyson doesn't look like he has ever done a pull up, press up or burpee as he literally has now pyhsique and at 21 this is worrying!
I think he needs a good beasting off Pat and co and a reminder that if he wants to become great, then he has to listen to his coaches and put in the all ground graft - Not just sparring or running!!
He will have to do this if he wants to move out of the domestic division and failure to apply a rounded consitent training regime will be his downfall - I do hope he listens though and does well!!

Saying that, I think you will find that he did do circuits and probably still does (as he is in good hands now also), he just has that kind of shape to him - Consistencey, self-discipline, routine and diet are the key.
