John Murray has pulled out of his proposed US date later this month.
The British lightweight champion was due fight in North Carolina on March 19 – originally against Anthony Mezaache for the European title.
But Frenchman, Mezaache, vacated his belt last week prompting US cable network, Showtime, to hastily try to find a replacement opponent.
Instead, Murray has decided to concentrate on his rearranged European title clash with Ukrainian, Andrei Kudriatsev.
Had the 25-year-old lost in America, it could have seen him lose the chance to fight for the belt he has been waiting for since defeating Jon Thaxton last October.

As for this fight, Mick Hennessy should be delivering regular, local shows for John Murray and increasing his exposure to the British public first and foremost. I have been to a few of his fights and the atmosphere was electric. Murray has a great following and the exciting style to make him a star. Unfortunately, his promoter simply doesn't seem to be delivering and it isn't a one off. You have to wonder what Warren would be doing with Murray, Froch and Barker. Whatever you think of Warren, Kevin Mitchell is exhibit A. Even a rookie promoter like Hatton is delivering top quality bills and title shots for his fighters and has a deal with Sky. Hennessy has managed to find a way to keep the undefeated, No. 1 British Lightweight out of the ring and off TV for five months and counting. In the same time Warren has ensured Mitchell is on his way to becoming a household name. If Hennessy can't deliver John Murray should find someone who can - before it's too late.

Wille Pep - Not sure he would totally dust him, but if he tucks up and weathers an early onslaught or even catches Amir whilst he recklessley flying forward then job will be done.
Otherwise - Spot on mate, totally agree, couldn't of put it better myself
