RICKY Hatton is considering a return to the ring in 2010.
The Hitman has remained tight-lipped about his future since his devastating knockout at the hands of pound-for-pound number one, Manny Pacquiao, in May.
But he has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could be ready to resume his incredible career next year.
The 31-year-old multiple world champion has been concentrating on his burgeoning promotions business since defeat to Pacquiao.
But he says the sight of his brother, Matthew, challenging for the IBO welterweight title against Lovemore N’dou tomorrow, could tempt him to turn his back on any plans to retire.
“Seeing Matthew being successful has made my feet start tapping a little bit,” said Hatton. “If Matthew wins, it could tempt me into making a comeback.
“Maybe next year we might give it another go. We’ll have to wait and see.”
Options
There are still plenty of money-spinning fights out there for Hatton – not least, WBA champion Amir Khan.
Should Miguel Cotto lose to Pacquiao on Saturday night, he would be another option, as would Juan Manuel Marquez, who lost to Floyd Mayweather in September.
Hatton has also had a public war of words with American bad boy, Zab Judah, while Oscar de la Hoya has made it clear in the past that he would be willing to fight at Wembley.

As soon as I heard about him going out to the States to meet up with Oasis whilst on tour, a big piece of the respect I once had for the lad instantly went. He also didn't do himself any favours when wearing a stoke shirt to promote his brothers fight - He showed his true colours of insincerity and taking the public for mugs doing that.
Also have you seen him recently? Think he's let him self go a bit to far this time, so unless he fights a complete mug then he is putting himself in danger. He is milking every single last drop of his marketability and only the mug punters will lap it up.
It's becoming a circus, what next? Juggling on the One Show?
