The 31-year-old, who defeated Baz Carey on points in Motherwell on Friday, wasted no time drawing up a list of his next targets.
Former world super-featherweight champion Alex Arthur and Commonwealth super-featherweight holder Ricky Burns are both in his sights with Gomez admitting the need to feed his family drives him on to keep brawling.
"I am not in boxing to keep my good looks," he said. "I'm here to put food on my kids' table in time for Christmas.
"I would fight every day of the week if necessary for my wife Alison and our three kids.
"I received £2000 for this fight and that, with respect to the promoters, is a pittance."
Victory over Carey was Gomez's second since defeat to Amir Khan in June.
Opponent
He is planning his next bout in December and sees Arthur as an ideal opponent.
The two have not met since Gomez' victory in 2003 and the Mancunian now sees a rematch as a potential money-spinner.
"I would love to fight Arthur or take on Burns for his Commonwealth super-featherweight crown," he said.
"I would smash Arthur for £30,000 because I like to excite people.
"In fact, I would go round to his house now and have it out with him if that's what it took to get us together."
MANCHESTER light-middleweight Thomas McDonagh won on points against Jason Rushton in Leigh last night.
On the same card Martin Murray knocked out Joseph Sovijus in the first round of their super-middleweight clash.
MANCHESTER'S Anthony Crolla, Matthew Hall and Denton Vassell all won at Everton at the weekend.
Lightweight Crolla beat Wolverhampton veteran Carl Allen on points over six rounds.
Welterweight Vassell stopped Latvian Alex Spitko after two rounds and Hall stopped Belfast middleweight Ciaran Healy in three rounds.
Welshman Nathan Cleverly was victorious over the distance in the main event, seeing off Portsmouth's tough Tony Oakey to win the Commonwealth light-heavyweight title.
Should Gomez carry on? Have your say.
