Moore misery for Jamie

 Boxer Jamie Moore
JAMIE Moore has suffered another devastating blow with a second postponement of his European light-middleweight title fight with Zaurbek Baysangurov.

Moore was due to take on the unbeaten Russian on September 26 in Wigan.

But Baysangurov is claiming a training injury and has again sent a sicknote to the European Boxing Union.

The two men were due to meet for the title in December - but Baysangurov pulled out after breaking a cheekbone in sparring.

"I'm devastated that the fight isn't happening - I can't believe it," said Moore, who had important shoulder surgery after the last postponement and has since taken his record to 30 wins and three defeats with two stoppage victories.

"I'm hoping my management team get him stripped and that I can finally get an opportunity to challenge for the European championship," he added. Moore's manager Steve Wood is demanding that the EBU should take the belt from Baysangurov and give the Salford southpaw a shot at the vacanttitle against Italian Michele Piccirillo.

"If we get messed about we might have to take Jamie a different route, but we are not panicking at the moment," said Wood.

"We will wait a week or so and see what the EBU say before we sit down and decide on what action to take."
