The pair, whose December 8 clash promises to be the fight of the year, will hold a press conference at 10.30am before meeting fans in an Albert Square rally on Friday at noon.
Ricky, 28, from Hattersley, will face his toughest test when he takes on the slick American in an eagerly awaited welterweight battle at the MGM Grand casino. Mayweather retired in May after defeating Mexican-American legend Oscar de la Hoya.
But the man nicknamed `Pretty Boy' was coaxed back into the ring after Hatton demolished Jose Luis Castillo in June.
Thousands of fans have been left disappointed after tickets for the fight sold out.
The Mancunian fighter’s camp have revealed more than 33,000 applications were received for the 3,900 allocated tickets, with a spokesman admitting they were “not too hopeful” of securing more for the December 8 fight.
With thousands of Britons set to travel to the United States without tickets, provisions are being made ahead of the WBC welterweight title contest at the MGM Grand.
A spokesman said: “Although we are doing our best to receive further tickets for Ricky’s fans we are not too hopeful as the fight is a sell-out.
“So, in conjunction with the promoters in the US we have arranged to install large screens at a number of venues within Las Vegas where the fight can be watched live.” Tweet
