MANCHESTER Magic coach Jeff Jones has put the first building block in place for his 2009-10 team by resigning Brandon Kimbrough.

The American point guard will return for a second season once work permit paperwork has been cleared.

Kimbrough was an integral part of the Magic team that finished runners-up in all four competitions last term.

Jones said: "Brandon's return gives us continuity and we are comfortbale with eachother - and obviously he is a great player."

Jones will now turn his attention to retaining the core of his team from last season - including Brits Stefan Gill and Steve Boonham - as well as looking at targets in the EBL and possibly a second American import.
