Magic bounce back in Finals

Magic Under-15s take on Solent

MANCHESTER Magic's Under-13s and Under-15s both bounced back from disappointment to finish third at the RAF Cranwell Final Fours.

In the under-13s semi finals, Magic lost out to eventual winners Ipswich Tomcats 89-65.

They went on to play Newham All Star Sports Academy in the third place play-offs, winning 79-69.

In the under-15s semi-finals Magic were pipped by Worthing Thunder Juniors 85-83. They went on to clinch third place by beating Solent Kestrels with a convincing 14-point win 89-75. Sheffield Junior Sharks beat Worthing in the final.

England Basketball chief executive Keith Mair explains: “Many youth teams across England compete for a place in the finals throughout the season, so the players who have reached the final have done tremendously well to get to this point. They have done a brilliant job of proving their ability to play top class basketball, and they should feel a real sense of pride in their achievement.”
