After landing point guard Brandon Kimbrough, Jones is on the verge on completing a deal for another American.
The player – a forward – should be confirmed as Magic’s second overseas player next week.
“The paperwork is almost complete,” said Jones. “He is a Division Three All American and will be a good addition.”
The pair, both fresh from the US college game, will replace Pat Dwyer and Jamaal Hilliard, last season’s American duo, this year.
Jones has already secured the majority of the British contingent of his treble winning squad for another term.
But he is also checking out a number of young English prospects as he looks for replacements for Orlan Jackman and Andrew MacKay, who have both departed.
The coach also has plans to fast-track another handful of the club's up-and-coming juniors into the senior ranks.
